Services

Tangled Roots Psychology Services.

At Tangled Roots Psychology I offer a number of services designed to help people progress through their struggles to a place of personal growth, and au authentic connected life.

I approach mental health holistically and experientially. I work from a neurobiologically and trauma-informed perspective.

I believe in helping clients develop self-awareness and a deeper understanding of the more unconscious feelings and beliefs that influence thoughts and behaviours.

The goal is to find the root cause of the issue and develop lasting change.

About Tangled Roots Services

My approach blends psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapy, delving into your past and present experiences to cultivate self-awareness and resilience.

As a psychodynamic therapist, I explore the underlying influences on your attitudes, beliefs, and responses to uncover the 'Why' behind your actions.

By helping you gain insight into unconscious feelings and beliefs, we can address the root cause of your struggles.

In our sessions, you'll be encouraged to express and understand your emotions, allowing for healing, personal growth, and an authentic, connected life.

My areas of practice encompass:

Trauma and PTSD - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

The traditional Blackfoot name of what is now called the City of Calgary is “Mohkinstsis”, which refers to the confluence of the Bow and Elbow rivers. I acknowledge that I am located on traditional Treaty 7 territory, the homelands of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksiká, Káínaa, Piikani; the Îyârhe Nakoda Nations: Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley; the Tsuut’ina Nation; and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. I acknowledge the many generations of Indigenous peoples who have and lived on, cared for and honoured these lands.
